We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Skyhawk Transport Services Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various locations.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation of Goods: Load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee condition of vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, perform brake adjustments, perform emergency roadside repairs, perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Cargo Handling: Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, transport and handle dangerous goods.
- Administrative Tasks: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, bill of lading, driver logbook.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: Will train.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, attention to detail.
- Language: English.
- Work Schedule: 40 to 60 hours per week.
This is a permanent position that involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes. It is a green job that requires flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
