Canada Research Chair in Economics of Climate Change and Inequality

Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in the area of Economics of Climate Change and Inequality. The successful candidate will be appointed as a tenure-track or tenured professor at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Economics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in the economics of climate change and inequality, with a focus on developing and applying economic models to understand the impacts of climate change on different populations and regions.
- Teach and mentor students in the Department of Economics, with a focus on undergraduate and graduate students.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing external funding and publishing research in top-tier academic journals.
- Contribute to the development of the Department of Economics and the University, with a focus on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.
- Proven track record of research in the economics of climate change and inequality.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
- Ability to secure external funding and publish research in top-tier academic journals.
