We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estate Planning Advisor to join our team at NBC. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our clients and investment advisors on estate planning matters.
Key Responsibilities- Client Advisory
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on estate planning matters, including succession planning, retirement planning, and taxation.
- Conduct client interviews and establish trust relationships with high-net-worth clients.
- Draft detailed estate planning recommendations tailored to each client's needs.
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues, including financial and estate planners, to support the region's investment advisors and clients in estate planning.
- Participate in training sessions on estate planning for investment advisors.
- Business Development
- Identify and develop business opportunities for all services and products offered by NBC.
- Stay at the forefront of new developments in the field to determine the directions to follow to continue evolving processes, systems, and methods in a perspective of continuous improvement.
- Education and Experience
- Member of the Barreau or of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
- 10 years of relevant experience in estate planning.
- Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of estate planning concepts, including succession law, trusts, and administration of the property of others.
- Significant experience in an expert advisory role.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with various types of professionals.
- Skills in simplifying complex information.
- Listening skills necessary for understanding clients' sensitive issues.
- Experience/mastery in taxation.
- Knowledge of insurance strategies.
- Knowledge of wealth management.
