Position Overview: The Manufacturing Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting the manufacturing team with daily operational tasks associated with both project and non-project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory processes, ensuring goods are stored in designated locations while maintaining an organized and efficient storeroom. Monitor and uphold Min/Max inventory levels.
  • Oversee the unloading, inspection, and receipt of all incoming deliveries, managing all associated documentation and records.
  • Facilitate the kitting of project-specific materials, both electrical and mechanical, for assembly.
  • Generate reports detailing build capabilities and project status.
  • Handle the management and distribution of leftover project materials.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics for cell deliveries, supplier shipments, and various inter-plant requests.
  • Administer inventory management for non-vendor managed items related to production, including ordering, tracking, and transferring items in CMS, along with conducting cycle counts as necessary.
  • Address AGC-specific operational requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the manufacturing team, including planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Attend project-based meetings in person.
  • Welcome and direct visitors, addressing general inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain vendor-managed inventory and ensure appropriate stocking levels.
  • Engage in special projects aimed at cost reduction, whether self-initiated or assigned.
  • Process incorrect or damaged items and coordinate all outbound return shipments.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to supply issues (non-supplied, under orders, over orders).
  • Produce and maintain all necessary reports and documentation.
  • Act as the primary contact for facilities and external services (e.g., landlords, office supplies, contractors).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for service calls.
  • Coordinate initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in project management is considered advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proven ability to manage purchasing responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Questica, CMS, and ERP systems is a plus.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in purchasing and/or project planning, preferably within the automotive sector supporting automation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational levels.
  • Exemplary integrity and reliability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
