At The Coalition Studio, we are committed to addressing these challenges through innovation in engine technology and the development of robust tools and workflows, particularly within the renowned Gears of War franchise.

As a Senior Build & Automation Engineer, you will play a vital role in our elite Engine and Game Development team. Your expertise in C# and familiarity with C++ will be essential, along with your experience in various source control systems like Perforce and Git. A strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for exploring diverse game development technologies will be key to your success in this position.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Unreal Engine in the gaming sector.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing CI/CD tools like TeamCity or Jenkins.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance automated build pipelines tailored for large-scale AAA game development projects.
  • Analyze and optimize the performance of automated builds across various pipelines and tools.
  • Contribute significantly to the strategic planning, execution, and maintenance of our build and automation systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Engine Leads, Producers, and development teams from other Xbox Game Studios.
  • Conduct research into emerging technologies to assess their potential for enhancing our automated processes.
