We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to designing energy-efficient building automation systems that prioritize occupant comfort and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project documentation to create detailed control drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and effectively communicate any design discrepancies or potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Select appropriate materials and components based on project requirements, considering factors such as performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Develop comprehensive sequences of operations for HVAC systems, leveraging your understanding of engineering principles and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure that design requirements align with project goals and specifications.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation throughout the design process, adhering to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Proactively propose energy-saving opportunities to clients, demonstrating your commitment to sustainability and cost optimization.
- Conduct site visits to gather information, assess existing systems, and collaborate with on-site personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Develop detailed commissioning checklists to ensure that systems are installed and operate according to design specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manuals for clients, providing clear instructions and guidance for system operation and troubleshooting.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a College Diploma in a relevant discipline, such as Building Automation Technology or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience working with building automation systems, computer networking systems, Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands-on experience with Building Automation System Programming, demonstrating proficiency in relevant software platforms and programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
