Job Title: Volunteer Service Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Volunteer Service Coordinator to join our team at Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating volunteer services, ensuring that all volunteer programs operate within our policies and procedures, and providing exceptional support to our children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, screen, select, and train volunteers to meet the needs of our Agency.
  • Coordinate volunteer programs, ensuring that all scheduling and records are maintained through our database program.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate culturally appropriate volunteer programs that align with our Agency's standards and human rights legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure effective programming, cultural authenticity, and relevance in program design.
  • Support service teams and frontline workers to ensure our children, youth, and families have access to our volunteer services.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date volunteer files and records, ensuring the Human Resources Supervisor is kept informed and up-to-date on any significant issues affecting the Volunteer Services program.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years related experience.
  • Experience in a volunteer/staffing recruitment coordination role, preferably in the Social Services sector.
  • Experience working within Child Welfare and/or Indigenous Child-Wellbeing setting would be considered an asset.
