Operant AI, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Financial Planning and Analysis team. This pivotal role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of the organization, driving our financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Spearhead the financial planning process, including the development of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Construct financial forecasts based on company expenditures, customer metrics, and projected sales activities.
- Collaborate with our banking partners to establish a robust treasury management plan.
Corporate Governance:
- Manage investor relations concerning information requests and audits.
- Monitor pricing strategies and margin policies in partnership with the sales department.
- Collaborate with the legal team on customer agreements and revenue recognition matters.
- Engage with clients during proposal phases and manage accounts receivable interactions.
Accounting Operations:
- Supervise and direct all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, revenue recognition, taxation, and month-end closing processes.
- Formulate and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Oversee the finance technology stack and ensure seamless integration across accounting, reporting, payment platforms, banks, and HR systems.
- Manage external audit processes and ensure compliance.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, contractors, and consultants.
- Develop employment policies and procedures to facilitate organizational growth.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance within an early-stage company, with a background in enterprise B2B or cybersecurity sectors, preferably in a senior finance role.
- Proven experience collaborating with a Board of Directors and venture capital firms.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Availability during core business hours and flexibility to adjust schedules based on organizational needs.
