In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our concession stands at various venues. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from managing staff and inventory to upholding the highest standards of customer service and safety.
Responsibilities:- Oversee post-event administrative procedures, including form completion and product tracking reports.
- Provide expert support for point-of-sale (POS) systems, training, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Cultivate a safe and inclusive work environment free from harassment or discrimination. Promptly address any safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents, or incidents, and communicate them to management immediately.
- Foster a positive and collaborative workplace by providing ongoing guidance, training, and mentorship to staff members. Reinforce procedures and practices through consistent reinforcement and lead by example, offering constructive feedback.
- Maintain meticulous sanitation, health, and safety standards within all work areas.
- Collaborate with the management team on various projects, including staff training, inventory management, and special event coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quick Service Manager, Director of Food & Beverage, or General Manager.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, effectively interacting with employees, colleagues, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making abilities, particularly in handling employee placement, staffing adjustments, and resolving technical, product, or equipment challenges during events.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Have a solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems (experience with Squirrel is an asset), and timekeeping systems (knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is beneficial).
- Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment driven by events.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all concession locations, including their geographical positions, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, and other relevant regulations pertaining to OVG and venue concession operations.
- Be proficient in performing basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
- Handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Have six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hold valid Food Handlers and Smart Serve Certifications.
