The AXIS actuarial platform, utilized extensively by life insurers, reinsurers, and consulting firms, facilitates critical functions such as pricing, reserving, asset and liability management (ALM), financial modeling, capital calculations, and hedging strategies.

The Actuarial Client Support professional engages directly with clients on a daily basis, delivering actuarial assistance, training, and guidance on best practices for model implementation within AXIS. This role also involves the preparation of documentation for clients and participation in research initiatives that expose the individual to cutting-edge actuarial methodologies and their practical applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in help desk duties at least once a week; availability during standard business hours is required.
  2. Conduct investigations, analyses, and provide solutions to client inquiries as necessary.
  3. Maintain thorough records of all client interactions, issues, and resolutions.
  4. Develop supplementary explanatory materials as needed to address client questions.
  5. Collaborate with developers and clients on necessary enhancements, including drafting business specification documents and conducting testing aligned with the release schedule.
  6. Provide training to clients on specific modules or topics, with the ability to travel for training purposes.

Qualifications:

  1. A degree in actuarial science or a related field.
  2. FSA designation is preferred; ASA with relevant experience will also be considered.
  3. A minimum of 4 years of experience in the life insurance sector, ideally in a client support role, including at least 2 years of relevant AXIS experience.
  4. Experience in life, annuity, or health insurance focusing on pricing, valuation, corporate modeling, risk management, ALM, and stochastic modeling.
  5. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
  6. Strong analytical, technical, and research capabilities.
  7. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities to achieve objectives.
  8. Excellent record-keeping skills.
  9. Willingness to work from various locations, with occasional travel required.
  10. Flexibility to travel to client locations as necessary.
