Position Overview:

This role is a temporary, full-time support position aimed at providing essential services to students, faculty, and the community. The Enrollment Services Specialist serves as the primary liaison for all enrollment-related functions, ensuring that students have the necessary support to access post-secondary education and achieve success through to graduation.

Key Responsibilities:


• Facilitate student access and success by providing guidance on various aspects of Enrollment Services, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Tuition & Fees, Registration, Transfer Credits, Scheduling, and Graduation;

• Deliver specialized student record services, including evaluating prospective students' qualifications, making admission decisions in accordance with established rules, and maintaining accurate records in the Student Information System (SIS);

• Offer comprehensive advice on financial assistance programs and policies to students, their families, and other stakeholders;

• Implement academic and financial policies by managing all documentation related to registration, fee payments, course and program modifications, withdrawals, refunds, and grades;

• Conduct credential audits to verify eligibility for progression and graduation;

• Review and evaluate transcripts to determine admission eligibility;

• Assist in the coordination and delivery of services that support students' journey from registration to graduation for both domestic and international students;

• Monitor student progress in programs from term to term, based on academic standing policies and established criteria, while identifying trends in enrollment patterns;

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


• A three-year post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or Community/Social Services is required;

• A minimum of three years of experience in a role that involves advising clients on complex and specialized information, preferably within an educational context;

• Experience in Financial Aid is preferred;

• Proficiency with Colleague, WebAdvisor, and myLambton or similar systems is essential;

• Strong active listening skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy;

• A customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to assisting students with their enrollment needs and flexibility in problem-solving;

• A collaborative team player who takes ownership of their responsibilities and strives for excellence;

• Comfortable working in a digital environment and dedicated to leveraging technology to enhance the student experience;

• An appreciation for diverse perspectives and respect for individual uniqueness;

• Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies;

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet applications, word processing, email, internet applications, and complex financial/student database systems;

• Resourceful, self-directed, and analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities;

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively explain policies and procedures to clients and students;

• High attention to detail and accuracy;

• Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
