About the Role

As an Autism Care Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals diagnosed with ASD by maximizing their health, safety, and personal fulfillment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing coaching and support in social skills, communication, and leisure activities.
  • Identifying and addressing barriers to achieving quality of life, ensuring personal outcomes are met.
  • Administering medication according to established procedures.
  • Following documented Behavioral and Crisis Protocols.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with families, support networks, and community members.
  • Supporting adults in their daily activities.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Human Services Diploma from a recognized institution or a Personal Support Worker certificate.
  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in supporting individuals with ASD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • The capability to physically support individuals with ASD.
  • A valid Driver's License (minimum G2) and a reliable vehicle.
  • A clean Driver's Abstract with fewer than three demerit points.
