Sun Valley Co-op is seeking a skilled Building Materials Estimator to join our team at the Altona Home Center.

About the Role:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Offer information, assistance, and service to customers, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Provide timely and accurate material estimates for customers' building projects.
  • Coordinate and order special order products for customers, ensuring seamless service.
  • Stay up-to-date with all lines of merchandise in the lumber department, providing expert knowledge to customers.
  • Adhere to company loss prevention and security policies and procedures.
  • Perform interior and exterior housekeeping and maintenance duties, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of the building materials industry and products, with a passion for staying up-to-date.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Enthusiastic approach to work, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Efficient and accurate in a fast-paced environment, with a valid Class 5 driver's license.
