Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in delivering an effective service provision across our group of companies.
Main Responsibilities- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and report any known hazards, incidents, or violations in line with internal policy and procedure.
- Technical / Function-Specific: Act as the HR first point of contact for all employees, providing support during the employee lifecycle, including interviews, onboarding, attendance management, training, employee relations, investigations, progressive discipline, maternity/paternity, vacation, and time off management, benefits, and offboarding.
- Internal / External Customer Service: Communicate regularly with employees and management to understand requirements and take prompt action to complete tasks on time.
- Administration: Administer Toro's HCMS (Dayforce), ensuring employee information and changes are up to date, and track, report, and work to improve HR metrics that drive business success.
- Education: University degree or college certificate in Human Resources or a related field, ideally with a CHRP/CHRL designation or working towards designation.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in Human Resources, with 2-5 years of labour relations experience, including exposure to a union environment, and experience working in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
Key Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding and knowledge of employment laws, excellent attention to detail, high level of integrity, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities, customer-focused, and willing to travel locally and work evenings as required.
