The Facilities Project Engineer plays a crucial role within the Project Department at our Pulp & Paper Mill, overseeing mechanical and civil engineering projects and capital improvements of various scales. This position requires collaboration with diverse disciplines and external partners across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee mill projects from initial concept through to commissioning.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams, including engineering consultants, equipment vendors, unionized contractors, and mill staff, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with facility programs as necessary.
- Collaborate with a motivated team to enhance mill operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Experience in an industrial setting.
- Self-driven and adaptable.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in pulp and paper engineering is advantageous.
- PMP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
