Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Coordinator to lead our environmental program management and implementation on a construction project. As a key member of our team, you will ensure compliance with legal and contractual environmental requirements, both in the field and in-office, while contributing to our commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement environmental plans to minimize environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Conduct field inspections and monitoring to identify potential environmental hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to identify and assess environmental risks and develop mitigation plans.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental issues to project stakeholders.
  5. Develop and maintain environmental reports and data tracking systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Communicate environmental risks and mitigation strategies to project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Coordinator with a strong background in environmental science or engineering. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance for large construction projects, preferably in infrastructure development.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of provincial and federal environmental legislation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
