Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Registered Practical Nurse / Wellness Nurse to join our team in the Greater Sudbury Area. This is a full-time or part-time position that offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in our retirement living services
  • Administer medications and perform various nursing tasks
  • Work collaboratively with our Resident Services team to ensure the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents are met
  • Participate in ongoing staff training and professional development
  • Meet the physical and sensory demands of the job
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing (Registered Practical Nursing Program) or Registered Nursing Program with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Theoretical and applied knowledge of the Practice Standards set out by the Ontario College of Nurses
  • Relevant experience working within the full scope of practice, including medication administration, within the last two years
  • Completion of RPN standardization (all modules) required
  • Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps training certificate required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Meditech Client Service, OE, and GRASP software
  • Knowledgeable about community support services, home and community care, rehabilitative services, adult day programs, and other social services
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work cooperatively with staff, patients, physicians, volunteers, and the public
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation: $33-$37/hour

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Position Type: Permanent
  • Schedule: 7am-7pm x 2 days, 7p-7a x 2 days (5 days off)
