Job Title: User Support Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced User Support Technician to join our team at Paul Gupta & Associates.

Job Summary:

The User Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, software, and other technology-related issues. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or in-person
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
  • Supervise other technical support workers in this group
  • Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed
Work Environment:

The User Support Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
