Health Care Aide Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Rimbey Long Term Care. As a Health Care Aide, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to provide client-centered care to our residents. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal assistance to clients, including supporting activities of daily living and support services
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement client care plans
- Assist with organized activities and programs to promote client engagement and well-being
- Observe and report on client mood, health, and wellbeing to healthcare professionals
- Maintain a safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors
- Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire
- Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Good work ethic, patience, and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with dementia and Alzheimer care
- MAP training and computer skills
- Good working knowledge of safe lifting and transferring, and safe handling of residents when using lifts
