Senior Manager for Water Infrastructure Projects

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in municipal water and wastewater systems to enhance our water division. This role involves collaboration with our dynamic multi-disciplinary Infrastructure team on diverse projects across Ontario, focusing on water treatment, wastewater management, pumping, storage, and distribution systems. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexible hours and the option to work remotely or from our local offices.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and guide project teams through all stages of project development, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning of municipal water and wastewater initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical specialists from various disciplines within our Water group, including structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil engineering, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project resources, timelines, budgets, quality assurance, and risk assessments to align with client expectations.
- Prepare and oversee engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans, contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
- Lead efforts in securing new projects, including developing technical scopes, work plans, schedules, project team structures, and budget estimates.
- Establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients; engage with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, project stakeholders, and contractors.
- Coordinate and mentor intermediate and junior staff in project delivery fundamentals and essential project management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering or project management, particularly with municipal clients in the Greater Toronto Area and Southwestern Ontario.
- Proven expertise in planning and designing water/wastewater treatment projects, including knowledge of unit process design and hydraulics.
- Demonstrated experience in leading project teams on consulting projects of varying sizes.
- Successful track record in business development and cultivating client relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
