Job Summary:

The SMT Inspector/Repairer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our electronic products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair surface mount technology (SMT) components to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Verify that parts and locations are installed correctly on printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to the bill of materials (BOM).
  • Meet manufacturing and quality targets by working efficiently and effectively.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the production team.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 graduate with a strong background in electronics or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hand soldering and assembly, preferably in a production environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • General knowledge of electronic components, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Experience working with similar equipment and technologies.
