We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Technological Education Specialist to join our team at the York Region District School Board. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting student success and academic achievement.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Technological Education courses to secondary students, developing and implementing curriculum, and assessing student learning. You will also be expected to collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and contribute to the overall mission of the York Region District School Board.
Responsibilities:- Teach Technological Education courses to secondary students, including design, technology, and engineering
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with Ontario Ministry of Education standards
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in Technological Education
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
- Technological Education qualifications
- Experience teaching Technological Education courses to secondary students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
