About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our Health, Safety and Environment Branch, you will play a critical role in supporting our research centres and corporate branches in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and advice on occupational health and safety matters to management and employees.
- Develop and implement health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures to mitigate hazards and prevent accidents.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify and address health and safety concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or industrial hygiene.
- Significant experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a research or industrial setting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and collaboration.
