About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Clinical Assistant to join our team at SA Dental. As a key member of our dental practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Patients for Dental Examinations: Ensure patients are comfortable and prepared for dental examinations, taking into account their individual needs and requirements.
  • Order Dental and Office Supplies: Maintain an adequate stock of dental and office supplies, ensuring that our clinic is well-equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Prepare Dental Instruments and Filling Materials: Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and filling materials, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Maintain and Order Supplies: Regularly inspect and maintain dental equipment, ordering supplies as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Sterilize and Maintain Instruments and Equipment: Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained, adhering to industry standards.
  • Educate Patients Concerning Oral Hygiene: Provide patients with personalized oral hygiene advice, promoting good oral health and hygiene practices.
  • Perform Intra-oral Duties: Assist dentists with intra-oral procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
  • Record Dental Procedures Performed on Patients: Accurately record all dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Setting: Dental practice.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, reliability.
