The Intestinal Ultrasound Imaging Specialist will be instrumental in facilitating the effective execution and excellence of Intestinal Ultrasound (IUS) central reading services within clinical research, with a primary focus on supporting clinical trial imaging site feasibility, training, and resolving technical equipment issues, alongside providing expert guidance to various stakeholders to ensure high-quality IUS image data.

By assuming the role of Imaging Specialist for IUS central reading services, the individual will aid in the successful incorporation of this pioneering imaging technique into global IBD research.

Site Feasibility and Quality Control
  • Engage with the research team to confirm that trial sites fulfill essential selection criteria.
  • Assist in assessing site capabilities to guarantee compliance with imaging protocols and quality benchmarks.
  • Perform and evaluate continuous quality assessments of imaging data to uphold superior standards throughout the trial duration.
Training Support for Intestinal Ultrasound
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of training initiatives for site and/or CRO personnel to accurately and consistently conduct IUS procedures (both virtual and on-site).
  • Deliver thorough training on optimal patient positioning, imaging methodologies, and adherence to protocols.
  • Respond to inquiries and concerns from site staff regarding IUS procedures and protocol specifications.
Technical Expertise in Intestinal Ultrasound
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Intestinal Ultrasound techniques, equipment types, and imaging protocols pertinent to IBD research.
  • Provide advice on enhancing image quality and capturing relevant anatomical views for precise evaluations.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with the research team, including Clinical Project Managers, Imaging Scientists, and Central Readers, to ensure the smooth integration of IUS central reading services into IBD studies.
  • Act as a resource for site personnel, addressing questions and offering ongoing assistance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in clinical trials is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with various ultrasound machine models.
Working Conditions
  • Remote work environment.
