Intestinal Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

The Intestinal Ultrasound Imaging Specialist will be integral in the effective execution and excellence of Intestinal Ultrasound (IUS) central reading services within clinical research, primarily concentrating on assisting with clinical trial imaging site feasibility, training, and troubleshooting technical equipment at sites, along with providing expert guidance to various stakeholders to ensure high-quality IUS image data.

By fulfilling the role of Imaging Specialist for IUS central reading services, the individual will aid in the successful incorporation of this cutting-edge imaging technique into global IBD clinical studies.

Site Feasibility and Quality Control
  • Engage with the research team to confirm that trial sites fulfill essential selection criteria.
  • Assist in assessing site capabilities to guarantee compliance with imaging protocols and quality benchmarks.
  • Perform and evaluate continuous quality assessments of imaging data to uphold superior standards throughout the trial duration.
Training Support for Intestinal Ultrasound
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of training programs for site and/or CRO personnel to ensure accurate and consistent performance of IUS procedures (both virtual and on-site).
  • Deliver thorough training on optimal patient positioning, imaging methodologies, and adherence to protocols.
  • Address inquiries and concerns from site staff regarding IUS procedures and protocol specifications.
Technical Expertise in Intestinal Ultrasound
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of contemporary Intestinal Ultrasound techniques, various equipment brands and models, and imaging protocols pertinent to IBD trials.
  • Provide recommendations on enhancing image quality and obtaining relevant anatomical views for precise evaluations.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with the research team, including Clinical Project Managers, Imaging Scientists, and Central Readers, to ensure the smooth integration of IUS central reading services into IBD studies.
  • Act as a resource for site personnel, addressing questions and offering ongoing assistance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in clinical trials is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of ultrasound machine models.
Working Conditions
  • Remote work environment.
