About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fruit Farm Labourer to join our team at 981351 Ontario Inc. As a Fruit Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to fruit farming, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planting and Cultivating Crops: Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
  • Harvesting Crops: Harvest crops at the appropriate time to ensure maximum quality and quantity.
  • Cleaning and Maintaining Equipment: Clean and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Assisting with Daily Operations: Assist with daily operations, including weeding, tying and securing plants, and training trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming, outdoors, wet/damp, odours, dusty, hot, noisy, cold/refrigerated.
  • Work Setting: Rural area.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence, own transportation, public transportation not available.

  • Fast-paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Handle heavy loads and work under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours.
