  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy growth and development.
  • Tie and secure plants to prevent damage and promote even growth.
  • Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
  • Weeding to prevent weeds from competing with crops for water and nutrients.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track crop development and identify areas for improvement.
Work Environment:

Fruit Farm Labourers work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, often in wet or damp conditions. They may be exposed to odors, dust, heat, noise, and cold temperatures. The work setting is typically in a rural area, and transportation to and from the work site may be required.

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Experience:

Fruit Farm Labourers typically have 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the field. The work is seasonal, and hours may vary from 40 to 60 per week.
