Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager or Principal to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional to work closely with partners, managers, and other senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory engagements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tax planning, services, and advice, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior staff on tax engagements, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to meet client needs.
- Lead special tax projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide coaching and professional development to junior staff, promoting tax knowledge and expertise.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving growth and revenue.
- Prepare and present technical sessions to staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Minimum 10 years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty.
- Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
- Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Masters of Tax Program.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
- High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Casview, TaxPrep, and tax research software.
- Proven project management and time management skills.
- Strong commitment to client service excellence.
- Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.
