Job Title: Lead Hand - Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview
We are looking for a committed Lead Hand - Maintenance Mechanic to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will be tasked with the repair and maintenance of essential machinery, including two shredders. Your responsibilities will encompass changing bearings, handling hydraulics, replacing belts, and more. Additionally, you will organize and execute preventative maintenance during scheduled maintenance days (1.5 days per week). Welding duties, including Mig welding, overhead, and flat side techniques, will also be included in your scope of work. When primary tasks are not demanding your attention, you will assist in repairing various items in the workshop, such as refurbishing the worn tips of crane claws, along with other maintenance tasks as needed.

Required Skills
  1. Minimum of 5 years experience as a maintenance technician
  2. Proficient in working with belts, motors, hydraulics, and gears
  3. Experience in preventive maintenance practices
  4. Strong troubleshooting abilities
  5. Maintenance and repair expertise
  6. Welding skills (Mig welding at a minimum)
Preferred Attributes

Ability to work comfortably outdoors.

Employment Type

This position is permanent.

Work Environment

This role requires full on-site presence. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and potentially at heights. A heavy-duty/Millwright license is advantageous but not mandatory.
