About the Role

EHN Canada is a leading provider of mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Team Lead and Primary Counsellor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching and support to clinical staff to enhance their skills and clinical practice.
  • Assist in the training and development of team members to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Take on a leadership role in the absence of the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Contribute to process and quality improvement initiatives using evidence-based practices.
  • Assist with scheduling and ensuring adequate coverage of group programming.
  • Provide feedback to staff and escalate performance issues as needed.
  • Support administrative processes and maintain excellent communication with stakeholders.
  • Participate in employee recruitment and development initiatives.
  • Celebrate team successes and contribute to a positive work environment.
Mental Health and Addiction Counsellor Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy, education, and ongoing assessment of client progress.
  • Coordinate case management and communication across the inter-professional team.
  • Timely communication with referral agencies and support clients and their families.
  • Manage clients with various addictions and mental health issues, including mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Identify treatment issues and goals with clients, coordinating across clinical teams as needed.
  • Collaborate in the development, implementation, and follow-up of client care plans, discharge plans, and summaries.
  • Complete detailed documentation and charting.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Participate in weekly clinical case conferencing and consultation meetings.
  • Support a framework of accountability for clients in their recovery.
  • Communicate with families as needed.
  • Engage in professional development and maintain current documentation.
  • Provide student supervision, as required.
