Water Treatment Plant Construction Superintendent

About the Role:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Construction Superintendent to lead our team in Yellowknife, NT. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the delivery of the water treatment plant construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the execution of the construction project, ensuring compliance with the approved design and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and provide leadership to project coordinator engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors, monitoring their performance and integrating the sequence of work to avoid conflicts and delays.
- Ensure the work is completed in compliance with the scope of work, contract/subcontractor requirements, schedules, budget, and quality standards.
- Interpret and implement technical specifications, assess site conditions, and determine if they are consistent with the design.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and monitoring for the work packages.
- Responsible for the quality of construction, using the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) process, and ensuring that proper supervision is present on site during operations.
- Control the subcontract closeout checklist workflow, including confirmation of substantial completion, performance metric reporting, and final release.
- Collaborate with the Mine Manager, Health and Safety Manager, Environmental Regulator Manager, Engineering Manager, Quality Manager, and Construction Manager to ensure work packages are completed with knowledge of other Construction Work packages.
- Assist the project engineer with preparation of monthly reports on work package progress, schedule, and budget compliance assessment.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Geosciences, or related technical/business field or equivalent related experience.
- 12+ years of experience in construction supervision and management.
- 5+ years of work experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects, working in Northern Canada.
- Knowledgeable of industry practices and regulations.
- Experience managing on-site activities of multiple subcontractors and addressing and resolving performance issues with subcontractors.
