Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Osoyoos Pho Vietnamese Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
- Dishwashing and Kitchen Maintenance: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, walls, and storage areas.
- Food Preparation and Service: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits, and help to package take-out food and prepare simple food items.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and free of clutter.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job is essential.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.
