About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Owl Pub Liquor Store. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

We welcome applications from newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster. This role does not require Canadian work experience.

Support for Youths

We offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.

This is a permanent position with 35-40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
