Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Carry and replace linens, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for our customers.
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, carts, and waste disposal units.
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
    • Load buspans and trays with food and supplies, ensuring efficient service.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, adhering to health and safety standards.
    • Place dishes in storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, following proper procedures.
    • Scour pots and pans, ensuring they are clean and free of food residue.
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh produce and supplies.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, following safety guidelines.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
    • Handle and store cleaning products, adhering to safety protocols.
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
    • Sharpen kitchen knives, ensuring they are in good condition.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
    • Provide on-the-job training tailored to the needs of newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for Youths
    • Offer on-the-job training tailored to the needs of youth.
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
