Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst - Expense Operations to join our Corporate Services, Technology & Operations team for a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end expense processing at CPP Investments, including accurately and timely processing of invoices, assessing and recording intercompany transactions between legal entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the centralized global vendor payments for investment-related expenses for CPP Investments in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Process investment-related invoices accurately and timely as per company policy and standards.
  • Assist stakeholders on expense-related matters and respond to stakeholder and auditor queries on a timely basis.
  • Process month-end/quarter-end/year-end journal entries, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Support project and initiatives relating to expense processing as required.
  • Participate in the creation and execution of new procedures and controls to ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent, with a professional accounting designation preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related role, preferably in corporate or investment finance.
  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications; aptitude and interest in learning new software applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistently high levels of accuracy.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to readily adapt to a rapidly changing investment business and technology environment.
