About the Role

Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Enterprise Operations team. As a key member of our International Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for managing indirect procurements outside of the United States and supporting our global operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Support a range of indirect procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of materials, equipment, parts, services, and supplies.
  • Project Management: Lead projects to rationalize services across the international landscape, such as software consolidation activities.
  • Procurement Process Management: Verify and manage procurement processes through to delivery, including tracking orders, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.
  • Procurement Data Management: Enter procurement data records into the system of record and internal tracking tools in accordance with company processes and procedures.
  • Supplier Liaison: Liaise with external suppliers as required in a professional manner.
  • Procurement Data Analysis: Assist in the preparation of procurement data required by other stakeholders and management.
  • Price Trend Analysis: Keep informed of price trends and assist in the evaluation of areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.
  • Contract Management: Work with the Lockheed Martin Legal team to verify correct Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) to be used for Canadian and international procurements, draft new T&Cs where required.
  • Problem-Solving: Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems and assist in the implementation of effective solutions.
  • Compliance: Comply with legislation and company policies, processes, and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, environment, safety, duty of care, and the quality management system.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with six years of professional experience; or four years of professional experience with a related master's degree.

  • Self-Organization: The ability to self-organize and work with minimal supervision.
  • ERP System Proficiency: Proficiency with the Materials Management (MM) functionality of Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) or an equivalent tier 1 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity software.
Desired Skills
  • Indirect Procurement Experience: Broad experience of indirect procurement in a large organization and a track record of identifying and delivering savings, efficiencies, and process improvements.
  • IT Procurement Experience: Experience of procurement of IT hardware, software, and services is an advantage.
