POSITION TITLE : Warehouse Management Systems & Equipment Technician

WORK SCHEDULE : Afternoon Shift ; Monday to Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the optimal electromechanical performance of logistics equipment through necessary corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
  • Execute preventive maintenance to keep handheld devices (PDAs), automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and other equipment in peak operating condition.
  • Interpret and train on technical documentation related to the equipment.
  • Complete work orders with accurate documentation.
  • Maintain high levels of equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
  • Keep accurate inventory records for maintenance supplies.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicate effectively with impacted parties, and work diligently to resolve issues, minimizing downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for enhancements.
  • Recommend actions to boost the performance of PDAs, AGVs, and other machinery in terms of productivity, safety, and organization.
  • Conduct physical inspections of newly installed PDAs, AGVs, and other machinery to prevent operational issues.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

  • Degree from a vocational institution with a focus on Mechatronics, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficient in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with bagging machinery is preferred.
  • Familiarity with robotic operations and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is required.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
