At Lufa Farms, we are dedicated to transforming the food system, and a significant part of this mission involves cultivating food in proximity to communities while ensuring responsible practices.
With an array of upcoming initiatives, we are in search of an internal Headhunter and Talent Acquisition Specialist to assist us in identifying the next key contributors who will help realize our vision.
Collaborating closely with various department leaders, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will outline the necessary roles for each team, craft job descriptions, and evaluate incoming applications.
Crucially, the Specialist will actively seek out exceptional talent, engaging in outreach to recruit the next members of the Lufa Farms family.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement recruitment strategies;
- Source, screen, and select top candidates for available positions;
- Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle across diverse roles, assisting managers in finding, hiring, and retaining high-quality candidates;
- Anticipate future hiring needs and create job descriptions and specifications;
- Work in partnership with department heads to compile a consistent list of requirements;
- Attract qualified candidates through various channels (LinkedIn, job boards, etc.);
- Conduct interviews and evaluate applicants to fill open roles;
- Assess candidates' skills, knowledge, and experience to align with available positions.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail;
- Proactive attitude and sense of accountability;
- Integrity, dependability, and ability to manage confidential information;
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, and other information systems;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- College diploma or bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field;
- A passion for urban agriculture and local food.
- Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
- Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise;
- Reimbursement for mobile phone expenses up to $60 per month;
- Eligibility to participate in the company's health insurance, dental, and disability programs after the probationary period (50% paid by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms);
- Access to TELUS Health Virtual Care (direct communication with health professionals via phone, video, or chat) and the Employee and Family Assistance Program (short-term professional counseling for various interpersonal issues);
- 30% discount on Lufa Farms products.
