Job Title: Corporate Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated sales professional to join our team as a Corporate Business Development Director. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing distributed energy projects with commercial, industrial, and institutional energy customers across North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify target accounts and develop them as prospects
  • Closing deals and managing customer relationships
  • Developing a personal sales strategy and managing a pipeline to meet corporate business goals
  • Leading proposal development with support from our team of solution engineers, finance, energy markets, technology, and other professionals
  • Initiating, maintaining, and cultivating strategic partnerships to increase sales and broaden service offerings
  • Establishing relationships from the C-suite to project engineers
  • Exceling at complex technical solution sales as the electricity market evolves and customers need sophisticated solutions
Requirements:
  • College/university degree (preferably in an engineering or electrical/technical field)
  • ~3–10 years' experience in a hunter sales role
  • ~ Experience in power project development, operations, market dispatch, or related fields
  • ~ Strong technical background in battery energy storage, solar, and microgrid systems is an asset
  • ~ Comfortable promoting engineering and power market services to customers (training will be provided)
  • ~ Proficiency with MS 365 Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.), Salesforce, and other related business applications
