Lead the Way in Sales Excellence

As the National Sales Manager – US & Canada, you will spearhead a dynamic sales and service team of over 80 field sales colleagues across two countries. With drive, passion, and hard work, you will help Chemetall/BASF surpass our ambitious growth goals. The right candidate will build and lead a world-class sales team, develop and implement new strategies and initiatives, and acquire new business via direct customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead safety culture first and foremost – ensuring everyone gets home safely.
  • Deliver the countries' sales and profit budgets.
  • Lead a large and diverse team with empathy, drive, and clear communication.
  • Develop and mentor team members, focusing on business, sales, and technical acumen.
  • Collaborate with Key Industry Sales and Marketing teams to consult customers on product advantages and benefits.
  • Promote the use of digital platforms, such as Sales Force and Power BI, to improve sales processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement the 'Counselor Salesperson' methodology and ensure Account Management best practices are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of sales management experience.
  • Strategic vision and thinking.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Team leadership and motivation.
  • Coaching and people development.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Commercial expertise and technical understanding of products and industries.
