I. Job Overview
This position is accountable for the Onboarding, Development, Coaching, Mentoring, and Performance Management of all drivers and helpers. It is essential to establish and nurture positive relationships with all frontline personnel. The majority of the workday will be spent in the field alongside frontline employees.

II. Key Responsibilities

Onboarding

  • Ensure that new frontline personnel are equipped with the necessary tools, guidance, and feedback for effective daily operations.
  • Engage with new frontline personnel daily to maintain consistent communication and support throughout the onboarding process.

Development

  • Provide timely and consistent interactions with frontline personnel.
  • Regularly review best practices to enhance daily performance.
  • Focus on understanding and advancing the career aspirations of frontline personnel.

Coaching

  • Identify and address areas for improvement, collaborating with frontline personnel to ensure ongoing success.
  • Actively seek feedback on coaching discussions and practice effective coaching techniques.
  • Lead by example to prioritize safety practices among all employees.
  • Educate and instill an understanding of the company’s operational standards.

Performance Management

  • Conduct thorough investigations for all incidents and injuries, ensuring consistent disciplinary actions and retraining as necessary.
  • Maintain and document records required by regulatory bodies such as the Department of Transportation.

Review and audit documentation related to route operations daily (e.g., DVIRs, driver time and attendance, open tickets), following up as needed.

Engage with customers and assess customer sites to identify and resolve safety concerns, exploring service alternatives when appropriate.

III. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience

Education: An Associate's Degree (accredited) or a High School Diploma (accredited) along with two (2) years of relevant work experience is required.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary, or successful completion of the Route Manager Trainee program is required.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

No specific certifications are required.

This role operates in a combination of an office environment and field settings, routinely requiring the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines.

The salary range for this position is $68,454 - $92,615 annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors including relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. Additionally, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
