Job Opportunity for Dedicated Educators

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated professional educators to join our team at Central Okanagan School District No. 23. As a middle school teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement BC's Education Plan and the Redesigned Curriculum in a collaborative team environment
  • Participate in the implementation of the school level Collaborative Model of Support and develop the School District Attributes for the 21st Century
  • Use technology for planning, attendance monitoring, communication, classroom instruction, and reporting purposes
  • Work positively towards the fulfillment of the School and District goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Strong background in middle school philosophy, core values, and educational practices
  • Experience in differentiating and providing inclusive learning opportunities that reflect the unique needs and interests of all students
  • Training/experience in Quality Assessment practices, such as differentiated instruction, criterion-referenced grading, and Assessment For, As, and Of Learning
  • Additional professional experience and/or post-secondary courses in adolescent learning
  • Strong interest in innovation and inquiry
  • Indigenous ancestry (as per Special Program with the BC Human Rights Tribunal)

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $57,972 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
