Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize independent analytical skills to assess claim histories and validate Access to Information (ATI) requests.
  • Ensure that authorizations are correctly reviewed to confirm that representatives are authorized and appropriate permissions are granted for claim file information.
  • Evaluate incoming requests to determine the legitimacy and eligibility of requestors seeking claim information.
  • Compile requests and assemble necessary components of claim files within WCB's secure digital framework.
  • Accurately and thoroughly release claim files electronically in compliance with WCB policies.
  • Meet monthly accuracy and statistical targets, demonstrating diligence and commitment to quality work.
  • Manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with team members to prioritize tasks.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to prevent unnecessary service delays.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality while updating business applications.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Work Coordinator or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with preferred experience in an office and customer service setting.
  • Familiarity with WCB legislation, policies, and procedures is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act is beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with business applications, including internal WCB software such as eCO and PAM, is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment while managing a significant workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong reliability and time management skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Capability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required.

Compensation:

Grade 4 Start Rate: $44,091 to Job Rate: $48,993 per annum

This position is temporary and full-time for approximately one year, with the potential for extension or permanency. Candidates may be required to complete computer assessments as part of the selection process.

Final candidates will undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
