About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with clients and their caregivers to create environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing. You will be responsible for assessing and treating communication and swallowing problems resulting from stroke, head injuries, dementia, degenerative disorders, respiratory issues, and other medical complications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat communication and swallowing problems in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing skills
  • Collaborate with medical and allied health colleagues to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct clinical bedside swallowing assessments and modified barium swallow studies

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist who is able to work well within a team, but also independently, with good communication skills. A flexible work schedule and a willingness to learn new skills and bring new learning to the department are essential.
