Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Production Team in the production of clinker and cement at our St-Constant plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of the production shift employees, protecting plant equipment, and maximizing its utilization and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and comply with environmental guidelines.
- Produce forecasted quantities and quality of raw mix, clinker, and cement, minimizing con-compliance.
- Manage major turnarounds in terms of labor and coordinate key decision-making and problem-solving with the team.
- Represent the production department when coordinating and organizing work with other departments.
- Provide leadership and ensure communication within a team environment to achieve production objectives.
- Report on team shift activities and observations, safety meetings, and production levels, and provide coverage for the Production Manager and Production Coordinator.
- Bachelor of Engineering degree or Technologist or relevant plant experience.
- 2 years of cement manufacturing experience or 5 years of production supervisory experience in a heavy industry.
- Excellent knowledge of cement technology and manufacturing process.
- Excellent leadership ability and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with plant and regional personnel.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining excellent organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills and strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrated commitment to achieving organizational and personal goals.
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment (co-workers, suppliers, etc.).
