Job Summary
The Specialist, Initiatives will provide research, analysis, and guidance to respond to changing issues and trends in CMHC's operating environment. This role will contribute to the development of new policies, products, services, and systems, ensuring that client needs are met throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and issues affecting CMHC's clients, and provide recommendations to inform business decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Participate in the development of new and/or modification of existing products, programs, services, and systems, ensuring that client needs are addressed and project objectives are achieved.
- Provide research and analytical support to inform business decisions, and contribute to the development of business cases and proposals.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform business decisions and drive innovation.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in housing finance, insurance, and/or product/program development within the multi-unit/residential space.
- A solid understanding of the business context and development of government programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply data analysis techniques to inform business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- A thorough understanding of the housing industry and CMHC's role in it.
- An understanding and awareness of social, economic, and political trends affecting the provision of housing.
- Experience in managing projects, including project management or change management.
