About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Designer to join our team at Dexterra Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and interpreting engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for modular building layouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare Revit designs and project specifications.
  • Develop and create detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance and input on new proposals and contracts.
  • Prepare proposal specifications and presentation documents in accordance with client and/or project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical teams and consulting Engineering partners to complete designs and resolve challenges.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing facilities and field personnel.
  • Work with purchasing and vendors to source, review, and specify equipment.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve products and items library.
  • Ensure codes and standards and company procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • University degree or Building Technology Diploma from an accredited institution, specializing in Architecture or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with wood-frame and/or steel-frame/panels building technology relating to commercial, industrial, residential, and/or hospitality.
  • Ability to read, edit, and create building specifications and detailed construction drawings.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and Autodesk ACC software experience.
  • Experience with modular/factory-built construction and BOM (Bill of Materials) is an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
