Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our design development team, you will collaborate with our experts to create technical drawings and develop design concepts that meet our clients' needs. If you have a passion for design, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts in correlation with project management goals.
  • Support sales team through concept development, presenting and advocating for the merits of design concepts to prospective clients.
  • Ensure all detailed drawings and any supplementary drawings are produced according to the design drawing release schedule.
  • Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
  • Ensure all required selections are completed in accordance with the selections schedule.
  • Obtain all supplementary vendor design details and specifications as per site list.
  • Ensure all scope changes in package drawings are completed with revised site instructions.
  • Coordinate with external designers as necessary.
  • Prepare full sets of working drawings compliant with applicable building codes for new construction and/or renovation and apply for permits as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized Architectural Technologist Program.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technologist in an Architectural or Interior Design firm with a focus on Revit based projects or related Revit experience.
  • Sound working knowledge of building codes and by-laws including applicability.
  • House BCIN license.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft office.
  • Highly proficient in producing high-quality renders for client presentation.
  • Possess a passion for customer service with highly developed personal interaction skills.
  • Sales experience is considered an asset.
