Job Summary

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team in Ottawa, ON. As a Commercial Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional sales experiences, managing leads, and generating business/commercial insurance sales leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Deliver an exceptional sales experience from the first point of contact, manage leads, and provide quotes to prospective clients in a timely manner.
  • Lead Generation: Generate business/commercial insurance sales leads and provide New Business commercial quotes to new and existing clients.
  • Policy Review and Recommendations: Review coverages with new clients prior to sending New Business Submissions to markets for pricing and become the Commercial Insurance subject matter expert for our brokerage to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Client Retention: Prioritize building a quality book of commercial insurance business and maintain good retention ratios.
  • Compliance and Administration: Follow underwriting guidelines set out by BIG and our broker partners, co-ordinate and follow up on client documents and payments, and become proficient with online quoting portals with all commercial carriers and MGAs.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: RIBO licensed and 2-5 years' experience as a Commercial Insurance sales producer.
  • Education and Designations: Two-years college diploma or other post-secondary education is highly desired, and CAIB, CIP, FCIP or similar professional designations are an asset.
  • Language and Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and ability to communicate in additional languages are an asset.
  • Residency and Eligibility: Must reside in the Greater Ottawa/National Capital Region for this role and be legally eligible to work in Canada.
